Appraisals

In most cases, appraisals are performed by appointment. Once the items have been examined and the fee determined, a receipt is given to the owner. Large diamonds will be shown to the client using our video microscope system. The diamond is viewed on a 20” high-resolution television monitor. At this time, identifying characteristics are pointed out and plotted on a small map which is given to the client. This map is used when the client returns later that day to retrieve the items. This assures both the client and the appraiser that the correct items are being returned. Several hours are needed to properly clean, photograph, measure, grade and evaluate the items. The items are usually picked up at an agreed upon time. The appraisal report will be mailed to the client upon completion of the research and value calculations.
